The Challenge

What needed to be done

Peak Fitness required the redistribution of commercial gym equipment — treadmills, weight racks, cable machines, and free weights — across three Greater Manchester sites as part of a rebrand and refit. Total weight exceeded 18 tonnes. Each site had different access constraints: one had a basement gym accessible only by goods lift, one had a narrow loading bay, and one was on the third floor of a converted mill building.

How we delivered it

Daley & Co's commercial team conducted site surveys at all three locations and produced a detailed logistics plan. Specialist heavy-lift equipment was deployed for the basement and third-floor sites. A dedicated fleet of three vehicles operated simultaneously across the four-day window. Equipment was wrapped and secured using commercial-grade strapping to prevent damage during transit. A project coordinator managed all three sites in real time.

The Outcome

The result

All three gyms were fully equipped and operational by Sunday evening — 12 hours ahead of the Monday relaunch deadline. Zero equipment was damaged. Specialist handling of commercial gym equipment reduced the installation time compared with a general removal approach. Peak Fitness has since used Daley & Co for two further site openings.
