Liverpool is the largest city we cover, and its housing is unusually demanding to move. Three things decide how a Liverpool move runs. First, parking: most of L1, L2, L3, L8 and L17 is permit or pay-and-display, and Liverpool City Council requires several working days' notice for a bay suspension — we apply as standard once your date is fixed. Second, the buildings themselves: a Georgian townhouse in L8 usually means a narrow staircase with a tight return at each landing, so wardrobes and sofas are dismantled rather than forced, and a warehouse conversion in L1 means a goods lift with a weight limit and a booking sheet held by the building manager. Third, the road network: the Strand and Dock Road are prone to closure for events at the arena and the cruise terminal, and the Queensway and Kingsway tunnels have height and dangerous-goods restrictions that affect which vehicle we send. We survey city-centre addresses in person because photographs consistently understate stair returns and lift dimensions.
