What needed to be done

The Morrison family needed their entire four-bedroom Altrincham home packed and stored while a full structural renovation took place. The collection included antique furniture, a large art collection, and high-value audio equipment. The renovation timeline was uncertain — storage needed to be flexible with no fixed end date. The family also required access to specific items during the storage period.

How we delivered it

Daley & Co conducted a full pre-packing survey and created a detailed 94-item inventory with photographs of each piece. All items were packed in export-grade materials and stored in individual containerised units within the climate-controlled warehouse. A digital inventory was provided to the client, allowing them to request access to specific items with 48 hours' notice. The storage contract was set on a rolling monthly basis with no penalty for early or late return.

The Outcome

The result

The Morrisons accessed their storage three times during the six months to retrieve specific items. When the renovation completed — two weeks later than originally planned — Daley & Co accommodated the extended storage without issue. All 94 inventory items were returned in identical condition to how they were packed. Several antique pieces were better protected in export-grade packing than they had been in the original home.
